Fleet Driver Training is an important part of any business that employs people who drive for work.
Repairs due to collisions, insurance premiums, third party claims, vehicles off road, missed orders, employee time off work due to injury, hidden admin costs
Reduced risk of harm to employees and others affected by their activities, and compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
Eco-friendly drivers save on fuel and maintenance bills, boost the company’s green credentials and reduce emissions
Good PR through the display of professional, considerate and safe driving practices. Turn each and every driver into a key ambassador for the company
No two companies are the same so we will build you a bespoke training programme to fit your company’s wants, needs and goals.
Training is implemented using tried and tested training methods and strategies, delivered by a DVSA qualified fleet driver trainer
We will review employee progress and goal achievement with the aim to promote continued driver development.
By building an ongoing relationship together we can ensure the continued health, safety and welfare of your driving workforce, helping your company grow and prosper.
As part of your structured plan we can deliver
We use a combination of mindfulness inspired techniques and coaching methods to refocus the driver’s attention and highlight observations about driving (and life) that help put a different spin on things. This is through use of a system we call the ‘Value Centred Perspective’ or ‘VCP’.
The VCP puts a person’s Values at the heart of what they do, how they do it and why. By aligning their actions with what matters to them most the driver relates to the training on a more personal level, thus cementing it.
By delivering Mindful Driver Training in a workshop setting a sense of community is emphasised. Bringing people together to talk openly about their concerns and to work together towards a common goal helps to create and strengthen bonds.
Reducing negativity such as anger and frustration not only leads to a safer driving practice but also improves the health and well-being of the driver. The healthier and happier your employees are the less likely they will call in sick or be signed off from work altogether with stress. Investing in them at this level saves the company money in the long run.
With the current social distancing guideline in-vehicle training is not without risk, making classroom workshops and online platforms safer training options. This is where Mindful Driver Training and the ‘Value Centred Perspective’ come in.
In just a 3 hour Mindful Driver workshop we have trained drivers to successfully reduced stress, anger and frustration by up to 71%. No in-vehicle training was needed. Drop in negative traits increases the safety of the driver as they choose to act out of a more positive and less distracted mind set.
The power of the Mindful Driver material makes the driver responsible for their own improvement
– this is KEY!
1:1 training is still the most effective way to get immediate change in driving behaviour, but when this this is deemed unsafe to be delivered, workshop based Mindful Driver Training succeeds. The most effective way to train professional drivers would be a combination of the two, Mindful Driver workshop and 1:1 in-vehicle training.
Hopefully we will be able to return to this style of training more safely in the near future.
“I developed Mindful Driver and the VCP to reduce fear, anger and frustration on the road making it a safer place to be for all that use it. I’m extremely grateful for the time I get to spend with my clients, sharing the material and helping them choose how and why they do the things they do. I love the challenge of going into a room of people, helping them identify old, outdated and often dangerous behaviours, and equipping them with tools, techniques and understanding to better themselves. We all want to be happy and avoid suffering, and once I show someone how their actions may not be the best way to achieve that, change comes naturally”.
"[Mark] has helped myself and the others on the workshop to have an awareness of how a healthier attitude to driving can make it a really enjoyable part of life, as well as an opportunity to learn and develop as a human being"
"It would be valuable for every driver on the road to consider the things covered on this workshop"
"Mark had a constructive answer for every question, displaying good advice and knowledge"
"A great course for helping to focus the mind on what really matters when driving"
